I would be desperately disappointed if it were removed.
If it's a flaw, then by all means fix it, but please put it back in legitimately! It's an awesome tactic, as much as it makes me cringe, and it really adds some depth to the battlefield. I'd be sorry to see it go.

I actually think it's an awesome tactic; jihad jeeps guarantee a dead clone, the loss of some ISK, and aren't too difficult to counter. It's certainly the most efficient way to deal with my douchebag permahardened tank.

What? Really? Pretty much every FPS has something like REs, and it's not like they're hard to counter - it's kind of obvious. After all, if the scout runs through your group, and doesn't kill anyone, there's only one thing he's just dropped, and it ain't a nano hive .
And if you ARE a scout, why is there especial hate for something that OHKOs you? Basically everything does. God, I can oneshot some scouts with splash damage.

God damn! You really can't help yourself, can you! Only one person in this thread has claimed that REs are too powerful or whatever.
At no point did I complain about them - if you could READ you'd know that I EXPLICITLY stated that I LIKED the mechanic and it should be KEPT.

Its funny these re-tards will hate on tankers even when you agree with them. i'm a tanker and I support the keeping of jihad jeeps and buffing proxy REs or atleast removing the beep that gives them away.

And yeah. Either remove the beep from proxes, or buff the living sh*t out of their damage, cos I mean really.

I was watching someone use proxes to devastating effect the other day. Forge guns still work a treat, and clearly REs are effective. Basically, I agree entirely.

It has the same effectiveness against a high-end tank, true, but a competent tanker shouldn't be caught out by it. Generally speaking, I cost the guy a few clones before he gets me; it's rare when I'm killed on the first couple of tries, and when that happens anything would have done the trick, so long as I was caught by surprise. It does irritate me when I get a hit on the LAV with my railgun but nothing explodes, though.

Your ten metre radius is smaller than you think. I hear HAVs have a scan precision of about 150db; couldn't tell you where I heard that, though, only that it was somewhere on the forums.
